About Me

hats - collecting and cleaning tips

My son has a big obsession with hats. Everywhere that we go, he has to buy a hat. This hat collection has grown to be so large that it takes up every wall in his room and even a few that are suspended from his ceiling. How can you keep hats organized and in good condition? How do you clean hats that have become stinky and dirty? After a lot of trial and error I have found several ways to control the hat collection in his room and ways to keep the hats that he wears most often looking and smelling fresh.

3 Easy Steps To Get Your Style-Deficient Guy More Interested In Shopping For New Clothing

You can argue the differences between guys and gals all day long, but there is almost always one differentiating factor between them: females usually don't have any issue with shopping for clothing, while guys sometimes could care less if they ever shop or not. If you are sick of looking at your handsome dude all dressed up in ratty jeans and last century's fashions, you may be tempted to shackle him to your ankle and tow him along on a forced-but-worth-it shopping trip at the nearest mall. But, there may be better ways to get your fashion-less man interested in getting some new garb. Here is a simple three-step process you might want to try.

Introduce your man to the idea of more modern fashion...slowly.

You may have the type of guy that balks at the idea of shedding his stonewashed jeans or refuses to let go of his "classic" 1990s tees in exchange for anything remotely resembling fashionable menswear. If so, the first thing you need to do is get him thinking about changing up his style just a little. Instead of flooding him with images of what he should be wearing, pick up a piece here or there on your own for him to try out. Slim-fitting slacks, comfortable-but-modern sneakers, and perhaps even a new shirt could be slipped in under his radar. Just make sure you give him a ton of praise when he actually wears something you bring home.

Bring online clothing shopping into the equation.

Your dear hubby or beau may use the Internet for a lot of things, whether it is to look for manly stuff or upload his GoPro videos. However, if you have a dude that is anything but fashion conscious, he probably has no idea how easy it is to just shop for clothing online. Introduce him to some of the best stores for men's clothing, such as Love This Life, and show him just how simple and easy shopping online can be. Plus, you can throw in that he can grab his smartphone and shop just the same, which may even be enticing.

Make shopping for men's clothing as easy as pie with shopping apps.

There is a world of incredible shopping apps out there that make it incredibly easy to track down the best pieces of apparel from top brands. Explain to him that you can get apps that allow you to go through the inventory of multiple retailers at once and even apps that determine your size through a series of pictures so there is no guesswork about getting the right fit.
