About Me

hats - collecting and cleaning tips

My son has a big obsession with hats. Everywhere that we go, he has to buy a hat. This hat collection has grown to be so large that it takes up every wall in his room and even a few that are suspended from his ceiling. How can you keep hats organized and in good condition? How do you clean hats that have become stinky and dirty? After a lot of trial and error I have found several ways to control the hat collection in his room and ways to keep the hats that he wears most often looking and smelling fresh.

Vintage Sandals: What Are They And Where To Buy Them

Some brands of sandals portray a certain image and branding that customers appreciate. As vintage styles become more and more popular and you want to accessorize accordingly, you may start looking at more vintage shoes, such as sandals. If you want to invest in vintage sandals, it's wise to learn why the investment is worth it and where you can buy them.

Use this guide to help you decide which styles of vintage sandals are best for you and where you can buy them. Choose a budget before you shop so that you can more easily narrow down your options.

What are vintage sandals?

A vintage sandal is any sandal that is within the last four decades, and anything older than that may be considered antique in style. Some antique experts might have other definitions for what vintage is, but this is a good standard to follow. So if you find some sandals of a brand you admire that are several years old, they might be considered vintage, and if you like them, they can be added to your collection of footwear easily.

You can tell if a sandal style is vintage or not by looking the sandal brand up online and seeking out information on the model or design number on the sandal itself. If you don't know if the vintage sandals you're looking at are genuinely vintage in style, then ask a sandal specialist or a vintage shoe expert for their advice; they can tell you the age or approximate age of the sandals you're interested in.

Where can you buy vintage sandals?

You can buy vintage sandals online, at a shoe store, or from a thrift shop or vintage clothing specialist. The investment in vintage sandals is worth it because you get something unique and own a piece of fashion history. Remember that if vintage styles are trending, then expect to pay more for your sandals and have them be harder to come by than if you buy them at other times when they are not as popular.

When buying vintage sandals of any style, make sure you're buying something that is comfortable and goes with your outfits, not just something that's older and is trending. This way, you end up with pieces you can love to own and can get the most out of your investment overall.
